The room was clean and the location was OK, but it felt expensive for the area. I’d asked specifically for one double bed, yet was given two single beds instead. At check-in, the receptionist copied my bank card and said it was for insurance in case anything in the room got damaged. I found that strange and dodgy. When I checked out, I told the manager I wasn’t comfortable leaving a copy of my card with them and asked them to inspect the room with me before I left. The manager decided to return the card copy. I appreciated being allowed to check in an hour early and check out an hour late. It’s not the worst place to stay in Paris, but there’s a lot to improve for the price they charge. Be very clear when booking about what you’re paying for, especially if you request one double bed. I asked for that and got twin beds instead.

My fiancee was robbed of his phone and entire wallet less than two hours after arriving, and the hotel was no help during the crisis. They wouldn’t call the police or let him use the phone, even though he offered to pay. There are no phones in the rooms, so you have to leave a message with the front desk, but they don’t pass them on. When I called and asked in English to leave a message for my fiancee, they hung up on me, or once left me on hold for several minutes before disconnecting. The staff were rude and unwilling to help. I’m livid about how they treated him and me. I’d give the place no stars if I could. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE.

The front desk was really helpful and gave me useful information about the city and getting around. The rest was disappointing: the advertised WiFi didn’t work, and the paid shuttles they said were available weren’t there, so I had to get an Uber. There was also no room service to replace the towels or make the bed.

Getting there by taxi or bus is easy, but the room wasn’t clean. The Wi-Fi was weak too, and sometimes I had to go down to the lobby and ask them to restart it.
