Gîte de la Closeraie

The owners were kind, attentive, and wonderfully flexible, and the floral arrangements were stunning. They were always available and did everything they could to help our wedding go smoothly. Thanks again for the warm welcome and support all the way through.

Our 190 guests really enjoyed the welcoming hall and the pleasant grounds, especially the well-kept garden. It was a real plus to have cottages for both families right beside the reception hall. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating.

The two roomy, comfortable cottages were perfect for our loved ones, and let us get ready separately without running into each other before the ceremony. Our guests were taken with the venue and kept telling us what a great choice we’d made. La Closeraie has a lovely peaceful feel, tucked into the countryside among flowers, trees, and greenery. There’s a pretty drive in, a separate spot for a secular ceremony, a large covered courtyard for the cocktail hour, and little gardens dotted around the grounds. The hall is warm and full of character, with stone walls and wooden beams. It’s practical too, with a dance floor and plenty of room for everyone, plus a direct kitchen entrance for the caterer. Mr. and Mrs. Delaveau were wonderful to work with, very kind, professional, attentive, and available. We’ll always remember this place and the people who make it special. Clémence and Nathan

We first visited Domaine de la Closeraie in the shoulder season, in the rain, and still fell for it. On June 21st, the sunshine made the place even more beautiful. The grounds feel cozy and welcoming while still being spacious, and the owners have clearly put care into designing and looking after them. The hall and gîte are beautiful too, with the old stone buildings’ charm still there. Mr. and Mrs. Delaveau also did the flowers for us. They understood exactly what I wanted and made both the church and reception hall even lovelier. Thanks for being so kind and available, and for making us feel so welcome!
