The booking was mishandled by management, but we were given an upgraded room. It was roomy and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a jacuzzi. There were four of us, though the welcome chocolate, cake and water bottles weren't provided in quantities to match the group. Breakfast was good, especially the quality of the fruit. The well-known Michelin-starred restaurant is within walking distance.

The friendly, kind staff and the cute, spacious room with its own little terrace were real positives. The bakery is downstairs, and from our first-floor room we could smell the croissants baking. I loved that home-baking feel, though I'm very sensitive to smells, so others may not notice it as strongly. The bed was clean, with no hair on it. The spa and the experience around the property were good, but I wouldn't stay again. The old building has poor insulation, so we heard people in the corridor and footsteps from the room above. From outside it's charming, but the noise made it hard to rest. In room 52, the shower looked awful for a four-star hotel, the grout was yellow and orange, and the water wasn't draining properly. It needs a deep clean. If you want quiet at night, I can't recommend staying here, and the shower was really disgusting.

We spent one night here and had a very pleasant time at the spa, which cost an extra 10 euros per person. Breakfast was very good too, with a nice range of drinks and different foods.

The spa is good, and its nap room is an unusual touch. The sauna let it down for me. It's quite small, and the heated walls instead of a traditional grill made the experience feel drier and less pleasant, with little control over the heat.
