Gite de Saint Bale

We had a week away with friends, and the cottage was spotless when we arrived. Isabelle and her husband were attentive while still giving us space. The cottage and pond made for a perfect stay, and nobody complained even though we were pretty noisy. I’d happily recommend it.

The hosts are welcoming, and the grounds have a stable, a lake, and lovely walks. Gite de Sint Bale is a beautiful spot to unwind with family or friends, with plenty of space, a cozy feel, and everything well equipped. Nature is lovely here any time of year. We’ll definitely come back.

Nature, fishing, and horses make this place feel like paradise. I’ve stayed at the cottage twice, and its design, layout, and location pleasantly surprised me. I’m always glad to see the owner and his charming wife Isabelle again. Their welcome shows the kindness associated with Belgium and the North. As a comedian put it, at Jean Marie and Isabelle’s you cry twice, once when you arrive and again when you leave. That’s a Nord-Pas de Calais expression. Put this address in bold in your directory and share it freely.

The apartment is lovely, with a view over the pond, and the owners made us feel so welcome. It’s a peaceful place beside a magnificent pond, with a picnic area and barbecue set up for a wonderful stay. Give it a try, you’ll love it.
