Villa Du Bonheur

We booked Villa du Bonheur for early January, and since we didn't know the town or what the weather might be like, we asked Thierry to arrange two dinners and a wellness visit. Both restaurants were very good and stayed within the budget we'd agreed with him. The wellness place was down the street, and everything was organised perfectly. We also got to take a half-day walk on the beach on a sunny day, with amazing views. The house and location were the first things that struck us when we arrived, and both were really great. Thierry and Dominique welcomed us perfectly. We stayed in the cottage, a former garage in the garden that had been turned into a spacious bedroom with a luxury bathroom. There was even a welcome bottle of champagne waiting in our room. Breakfast was delicious, though a bit much for us. Thierry served fresh coffee and croissants, plus a huge choice of marmalade, cheese, and other toppings. We ended up skipping lunch two days in a row. Just across from the Villa there's a lovely little Jazz/Cocktail bar, well worth a visit on a January evening. I'd definitely recommend staying at Villa Du Bonheur. My wife and I don't play golf, so we didn't try that part of Wimereux. I did arrange a weekend there for my parents, who are both golf enthusiasts like Thierry. He organised their green fees and reservations in advance, and could also recommend courses from his own experience.

We spent four nights at Villa du Bonheur with our seven-month-old baby. The cottage had a very luxurious bathroom and living space, and Dominique and Thierry were kind and thoughtful. Breakfast was good, and the sea is only a few minutes away. Wimereux also makes it easy to get to other nice places like Le Torquet or Les deux Cap. A really lovely stay!

The beach at Wimereux is very close, and the owners are happy to point you toward nearby restaurants, shops, and places to see. It’s a clean, friendly B&B with a nice breakfast, and guests can relax in the garden. Street parking nearby is free, though you’ll need to find a different spot each time.

Our little Thibaut’s first trip went really well. We’d searched for a peaceful place where we could unwind with our one-year-old, and Villa du Bonheur turned out to be just right. The Cottage Room was lovely for our three-day stay, and we could enjoy the quiet garden while he napped without disturbing anyone. Thierry & Dominique made us feel very welcome, and the B&B has a lovely, cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious every day, and chatting with the hosts gave us a chance to practice our French. Wimereux is a lovely place with kids too, with its sandy beach, beautiful scenery, and charming, authentic town. We found the happiness and joy we were looking for, and would happily return.
