The couscous was a real treat, and even the carafe wine was very good. I also loved the gourmet coffee. The owner said they serve 100 couscous at lunchtime, and even asked if we wanted more of it or the carpaccio. Prices were very reasonable, the service was friendly and always with a smile, and there's plenty of parking. The restaurant is spacious, and the setting is lovely. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m. to an empty room and I wondered if I'd made a mistake, since the place seemed like the sort of trap where you pay more for worse food and no smile. What a surprise to be welcomed with good humor and pretzels for the aperitif. Within 20 minutes, all the tables had filled up. You can get by in French, German, or English. The veal rump with apple, pear, and chocolate crumble was really good 😋, and the service was attentive in a pleasant setting. It was a little pricey for what it was, but the flavor was there and I’d still recommend the place.

I slept well, and the bedding was comfortable, just what I’d expect from a small hotel. The next morning, breakfast was served at the table, with juice, tea, jam, cold cuts, cheese, and fruit. It was generous, and the receptionist was very friendly. I’d highly recommend this place. I was passing through the area for a quick repair and chose this lovely hotel in the village. The unexpected call came at 6 p.m., and when I returned to pick up my meal, everything was ready in my room. And what a meal! 😍 The tart was absolutely delicious.

The service was excellent, and the duck breast with rhubarb was so good I’m still thinking about it.
