The town is lovely, and the staff were pleasant when they were around, though reception shuts at night and they speak very little English. The room was tiny and dated, with a soft bed, and there were barely any amenities: no tissues, kettle, or hairdryer. There was just one outlet for devices, and it wasn't by the bed or desk. I wouldn't want to stay longer than one night.

The staff are friendly and ready to help with a smile, and we enjoyed our stay despite the small rooms and somewhat small beds. The hotel has plenty of charm, even if the building has seen better days. Bring your own pillow if possible, as the hotel ones are quite thin.

I was there on a school trip in 1974-5, when I was eight or nine. My school was Darenth County Primary School, and they took pupils there on trips for several years. I have a lovely memory of exploring some of the Atlantic wall bunkers along the beach. One was enormous and had a gun that fired shells at targets on England's south coast. Seeing pictures of the hotel again after all these years brought back a magical time. A very belated thank you.

The hotel feels obsolete, and the rooms badly need refurbishing, though they're okay if all you need is somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was awful. The butter was past its July shelf life and covered in mildew. We definitely won't return or recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I love this sweet little hotel and always stay at Bellevue when we're in the area. The staff are friendly, welcome us warmly, and make us feel at home even when we're away from home. Breakfast is included and gives you what you need before heading out for the day. We love coming to Wissant, a charming fishing village with a great beach.
