L'Ecrevisse

The location made this an easy and relaxing stay: it's very central, close to the main tourist sights, but in a completely quiet area. Breakfast is fantastic, with fresh local products, and just two minutes away. I had a wonderful time here. The welcome was easy, and my room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was large and comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep. I highly recommend this house for a convenient, relaxing visit, and I'll definitely be back.

We used to love staying at Ecrevisse when it was part of the *** Hotel du Cygne, and had come to Wissembourg for years. After Ecrevisse was sold in August 2025 and Hotel du Cygne closed, this year's visit was a real shock. At €250.00 a night, the stay was simply unacceptable, and we won't be back. Our suite wasn't cleaned once during the five days. There was no breakfast available anywhere, no on-site person to speak to, and no parking outside the hotel. We had to leave the car in a lot about a five-minute walk away. With nobody there, we had to pay the full amount upfront, and the keys were left in a small wall box. The room also looked badly neglected, as the photos show: holes in the walls, extremely dirty windows inside and out, and thick dust on the mirrors and television. There wasn't even a small refrigerator or a vacuum cleaner we could use to keep things a bit cleaner ourselves.

The Fleckenstein room was lovely and roomy, and it was heated well. The location is convenient, too. A few basics would make it better, like a shampoo and shower gel dispenser or a toothbrush.

Right in the center of Wissembourg, the hotel has beautiful rooms with exceptional comfort, all in an idyllic setting.
