Cantu di Fiumu

The rooms are modern and nicely furnished, and the hotel is simple and lovely. It's well placed for the Aguilles de Bavella, with Zonza town just a short drive away. The pool is large, but unheated, so it was too cold for the kids to stay in for more than a couple of minutes. The jacuzzi was also out of order. The main reason for my three stars, though, was the manager's exceptionally aggressive and hostile manner toward us. She could have said the same thing respectfully and pleasantly. I did appreciate her letting my dog stay tied in the shade during the day, so we didn't have to leave her in the car while we went canyoning. Still, friendliness matters when guests are paying, especially when they've booked several rooms.

The setting by the river in a lovely forest was wonderful, and I wish we'd had more time there. The pool was nice, and the restaurant smelled delicious. The modern room had a great shower, bed, and the best pillows we'd had so far on the trip. Our best hotel of the trip.

The grounds have a big, almost fairytale feel to them, and the views of Bavella were a lovely surprise. We had a great time here and wished we could have stayed longer. The pool was great, the restaurant excellent, and breakfast superb.

After a hike, the refreshing pool was just right, and the sanitary facilities were clean and tidy. The kids were welcome, and it was nice to have waitresses who spoke English. The host was friendly, and the kitchen served authentic food. I'd recommend the three-course Menu for its variety and good value. (:
