We'd just finished the GR20 in Conca and needed somewhere to sleep after discovering the bus to Bastia wasn't running because of a holiday. We walked to Pinarellu, where the tourist office in St Lucie suggested Hotel de Golfe. It turned out to be a great find: a quiet, clean, comfortable room with air conditioning and a mini kitchen for just €60 for the night. The owner/manager was very helpful, and we were happy with the simple, good-value accommodation and its sea view.

The location is good, though I'd call this a guesthouse rather than a hotel. It's simply furnished and adequate for a few days, but could be cleaner. After our vacation, we were very disappointed to get a €35 parking ticket for what looked like the designated lot. We'd given our license plate number ahead of time and had been assured parking was included. We told the hostess, but haven't heard anything since. From reviews by other people who parked there regularly, it looks like an obvious tourist scam.

We stayed at the Hôtel du Golfe for three nights with our baby and felt welcomed like family. Sandrine and Marie-Jo made sure we had everything needed for his comfort, and created a real haven for our son. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and very comfortable. The sea view was absolutely magnificent, and the hosts' genuine, touching warmth helped make the stay unforgettable. We'd gladly return!

We found the Golf Hotel by chance, and Sandrine and Marie-Jo gave us such a warm welcome. The spacious room had been beautifully renovated and came with a breathtaking sea view. Downstairs, the restaurant service was impeccable, and breakfast was generous, with local charcuterie. Don't hesitate to stay here, though it may soon be a victim of its own success.
