Résidence Odalys San Martinu

The bedrooms have been renovated, and the three-bedroom house is very spacious. But it's set up for 8 people and the outdoor table seats 6 at most. The kitchen is poorly equipped: no toaster, no paring or bread knife when we arrived, and only a small serrated knife besides the usual cutlery. There were enough of those, but just 8 teaspoons. Maintenance was also poor. The baguettes are falling apart, the dishwasher tilts, the shower curtain doesn't keep water in, and the shower head holder is broken. The microwave stopped after 4 minutes, so they replaced it, but the second one broke after heating a dish for 10 minutes. We mostly used the place to sleep, but it wasn't very pleasant, and cooking was a hassle. I don't recommend this residence. We've stayed at several Odalys residences, and this was the first one that disappointed us.

The villa was clean, spacious, and quite nice, with excellent bedding. The kitchenware was a bit sparse, though, and one small air conditioner in the main room was barely enough to keep things comfortable. The place is getting old, but the manager listens and arranges needed repairs. From the terrace, you can see the aiguilles de Bavella in the distance. It's near the main road, so there's quite a lot of traffic noise, and the traffic light often causes a jam. Still, it's a good base for visiting the south of the island. We spent a week here.

The staff were welcoming, very friendly, and attentive, and our villa was in a peaceful spot near the beautiful Pinarellu beach. It was very clean when we arrived. We had a wonderful stay. The only drawback was that the bedrooms didn't have air conditioning, just the living room, though in early July we weren't too hot at night.

We stayed for a full week in a small villa, and the shared pool was great and very well maintained. A kind lady welcomed us on the first day. The location is handy for getting to either side of the island, though the nearby St. Lucia traffic light intersection often backs up when people return from the beach. We were disappointed by the accommodation: housekeeping hadn't been done, the fridge/freezer was in poor shape, the shower head was broken, and the toilet didn't flush properly. We reported everything, but nothing was fixed. Otherwise, the accommodation was generally fine.
