Villa Belle Escale

Everything at Villa Dolce Vita matched the description, and the house was clean, comfortable, and had all we needed. We had a wonderful week there. Thanks to our host, Sébastien. Sainte-Lucie has all the amenities, and we’d be happy to return to the villa next year.

We had a wonderful holiday in this pretty wooden villa. The owner was very attentive, the rooms are laid out well, and the house was clean and well maintained, despite what I’d read in some reviews. It’s well located, with the beaches not far by car. The pool is fantastic, and the jacuzzi was just right for an aperitif under the stars. We also had a blast with the inflatable tubes on the boat rental. I’ll definitely be back. 😎👍❤

For €3,000 a week, the amenities just weren’t good enough. Many things were broken or damaged, from the dishes to the sofas and table, and nothing felt very clean. We found ants coming through holes in the bedrooms, along with moths. Despite asking, no one did anything about it. We had several exchanges with the owner before posting this, but got no real answer or solution. I want to warn future guests: if you’re after a hassle-free stay, look elsewhere. The apartment itself does match the photos on the website and Airbnb, and the location is fairly good. But reaching the beach still takes at least 10 minutes by car, even if you drive well. Internet is shared between the three villas, so during busy hours you may not even be able to access Google. “Natural air conditioning” felt like a very vague idea, and in my experience it didn’t work. The apartment was also very dirty when we arrived. The cutlery hadn’t been washed, there was hair and sand in the bathroom, hair in the bed sheets, and used tissues on the sofa. We’d paid extra for cleaning and linen service, yet the linen didn’t smell clean either. A shame.

We had a superb stay in this beautiful residence. For little day-to-day improvements, be sure to get in touch with the person on site. He’ll do his best to help.
