Mina Liberville Hotel

The grounds are calm, and the hotel is clean and well maintained. But the service is poor, plain and simple. Staff, including the manager, came across as arrogant. A standard room is only 16m2, with hardly any room to move, like living in an egg. The food wasn't that good either, and the portions were small for the prices.

The service was attentive and the prices were reasonable. The hotel itself is modern, very clean, and well air conditioned, with a big lobby that has a restaurant and bar. It didn't feel very African. I had a simple pasta dinner, acceptable but nothing memorable. The neighboring Indian gent had fish brochette that looked good.

The terrace and lobby were nice, and the hotel is in a prime location. The room was another story: the ventilation didn't work well, and the toilet smell kept spreading through the room. I had to open the windows, which meant dealing with mosquitoes, so I spent most of my time outside. There wasn't a phone to call reception either. Breakfast was basic, and apart from the security staff, the staff felt unfriendly and unwelcoming.

I've stayed at ONOMO Hotel for years, and the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the food is good. It's near the USA Embassy and other High Ranking Government officials, with National Guard & Military presents, so the security location is ideal. On my last visit, though, all the room AC's were out for preventative maintenance. I wish the front desk had told me so I could have made other arrangements. Update: 27 July 2022, the cooling system in all rooms was restored during my last visit. I would recommend Onomo Hotel to anybody. The outside pool and tables are a must for relaxing. Even though it's close to the Airport Runway, you can't hear the bigger planes land or take off with all the room doors closed.
