Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel, Libreville

For a business trip to Libreville, this is a good option, about 15-20 minutes from the airport. It's right along the seafront with beautiful ocean views, has a well equipped gym, and offers a good range of restaurants. The main buffet is good quality, and the hotel has the qualities you'd expect from the Radisson Blu chain.

I've stayed here several times. It's in a good spot on the beach and close to the airport, and service is quite good, including attentive breakfast hosties. The hotel is old and dated, though, and the windows need cleaning on the outside so you can enjoy the nice ocean view.

Sarah and Tatiana were kind, welcoming, and friendly every morning at breakfast, and Jeannette in the lounge was also very nice and attentive, helping make the experience pleasant. The hotel is well located by the sea in Libreville and seems like a good option for crew stays. The gym is fairly new, with modern machines and an ocean view that makes workouts more motivating.

I don't leave negative comments unless a stay is really bad. The staff were kind, but the rest was very disappointing and definitely not worth the money. First they put me in a service room without all the usual amenities, with a door between rooms. It was very loud, impossible to have a quiet moment. Then they moved me to a room with a badly done air system, and the bathroom and room would start smelling of cigarette smoke. Disgusting. After that, room service food gave me food poisoning. I couldn't leave the room for two days, and there wasn't even a goodwill gesture. The management knows they're more or less the only hotel in town and abuses that position. I really hope they use this message to improve the rooms and make sure the restaurant doesn't put guests' health at risk.
