Penybryn Cottages

A really quiet, clean place with friendly owners and a little garden patio of your own to sit outside. The cottage had everything I needed, so I only had to bring food if I wasn’t planning to eat out. It worked well for visiting family in both Aberdare and Mountain Ash, since it’s between the two. You can also use the hot tub for an extra fee. I’d happily recommend it, especially as it costs less than some hotels.

We brought our two dogs for a four-day break, and they loved sunbathing in the lawned, securely fenced private garden. It was lovely to feel they were welcomed rather than merely put up with. Honeypot cottage was warm, cosy and excellent accommodation, clean both inside and out. The owners were friendly and attentive, and even gave us fresh eggs from their own chickens, who seemed keen to welcome us too. A very relaxing stay.

The hot tub was so relaxing, and the price was amazing. My partner and I had a brilliant stay at Honeypot cottage, in such a lovely spot. I’d highly recommend it.

We spent two nights in the caravan and found it lovely, clean and cosy. Emma was friendly and helpful, checking that everything was okay. The location was handy for shops, takeaways and nature walks. Puzzlewood, Showcaves and Wales Botanical garden were all within an hour’s drive, and each was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended.
