Breakfast was the standout for us: fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. We also found the hosts friendly and attentive throughout. Bank House BnB has a welcoming feel, and our clean, comfortable room was a lovely place to unwind after exploring the Highlands. A great base for Aberlour and the distilleries.

The location in town worked perfectly for us, and Eileen and Jim were lovely hosts. Our room was clean, updated, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious too. We’d happily return to Bankhouse.

Eileen made a miserable start to our trip much easier. After a 13-hour delay at Heathrow, we landed in Inverness after midnight and still had an hour’s drive through the countryside. She kept track of our flight as the delays grew and let us check in close to 2am. That patience and kindness alone would make me recommend this B&B. The rooms are small, so don’t expect much space, but they’re thoughtfully furnished, clean, and stylish. It felt calm and cozy after our very busy whisky tours. Breakfast was fantastic both mornings, though jet lag meant I could barely eat. One thing to plan for: this isn’t a self-catering B&B, and takeout isn’t allowed. There are also very few places nearby serving food after 8 or 9pm. With our short stay, that was fine, but it’s useful to know.

Breakfast was generous, with plenty of choice, and Eileen and Jim cooked everything fresh. They also tried to accommodate individual requests where they could. What stayed with me most, though, was how welcoming they were. From the start, the place felt comfortable and almost like staying with family. The service was great, and they were quick to help with requests. I was in the area for a short trip and enjoyed the stay so much that this is one of the best B&Bs I’ve visited. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to the region. Greetings from Eric.

Breakfast was superb, from the crockery and cutlery to the quality of the food. Eileen was warm and welcoming, and our room was clean, fresh, warm, and comfortable. The Bankhouse is modern and beautifully decorated, yet still feels comfortable. It’s ideally placed in central Aberlour, in the heart of Speyside whisky country. We’ll be back.
