The portions were huge and the food was excellent, really tasty too. We ordered steak pie and sausage with mash, then asked if the mustard mash could be swapped for cheesy mash. The chef was happy to accommodate us, which we appreciated. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the decor inside is really nice. We stopped in while visiting the area and would definitely recommend it. We’ll pop back in future.

We stopped for food on the way to a campsite after reading that they welcome animals, which was ideal since we had our travelling cat with us. The food was fresh, well seasoned and served in generous portions. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, thank you! We’d certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal.

We only stopped in for a drink, but the pint was really nice and fairly priced. It’s a relaxing place, with great service and friendly, helpful staff. I’ll call in again next time I’m in the area.

The manager was especially welcoming and lovely, and it’s clear they care about making the place a good experience for everyone. The whole team seemed proud of their work, and the service was quick while still giving us room to enjoy the evening. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and attentive. The pub had a warm atmosphere, relaxed but lively, from the moment we arrived. It’s rare to find both the vibe and service working so well together. We’ll be back and will recommend it to others.

Sunday lunch on 19/4/26 was amazing. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the beef delicious. I never thought I’d praise stuffing, but it was so tasty! St Tuds chefs somehow made things even better this time. Service was 100% as always. Well done again to the management and team, first-class customer service.
