The place looks modern and is presented really well. Staff are friendly and go out of their way for customers. The only small gripe is the price, £2 for a cup of tea when a teabag costs a few pence. Still, that's what you'd expect at a venue like this, and it's a very nice place.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and efficient, with no issues there at all. The room was another matter: mouldy, shabby and badly maintained, with decor that felt like a granny's spare room. I imagine the belle vue royal was lovely in the 1970s, but it seems to have traded on that name ever since.

We stopped in for drinks because it was across the road from where the event had just finished. The hotel was fully booked, so we didn't stay there overnight, but they had guest rooms a little further along the prom. Those rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The Belle Vue staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

The staff were polite, but I barely slept. Floors creaked, doors banged at 2 am, and seagulls nesting outside the window made that awful wailing sound all night. I'd hoped this would be a much-needed stop after driving some 300 miles, so I could relax before the return journey. It wasn't great when the noise kept me awake.

We love coming here. It's friendly and relaxing, and the staff are all so helpful. Can't wait for the restaurant to start serving evening meals, that'll be the cherry on the cake!
