We spent four wonderful days here during our holiday, and my children had an amazing time. There was plenty of safe outdoor space for them to play, including an area for football. The host was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect stay. It works well for families, couples and groups of friends, and I’d happily recommend it to all my friends. I hope this won’t be my last visit. Bring your food, drinks and other essentials, as shopping centres may be quite far away and options are limited. The accommodation has all the cooking tools you could need.

We only started our holiday today, and already love this beautiful place. It’s very clean and tidy, with clean decking, a parking space and an EV charger. You can see Scottish cows in the field in front of the hot tub. The greeting pack was amazing: bread, a dog treat, vine and scones. It’s so nice to be here!

Honey and Manuka, the two Highland cows beside the field, wandered right up to the fence while we watched them from the hot tub. The views from there and the terrace were lovely, and after hiking in the nearby Cairngorms it was a perfect way to unwind. Aboyne is only 2.5 miles away, with plenty of food shops and a few good places to eat. Liz was friendly and knew the local walks well. The cottage was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower stayed nice and hot. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We were also greeted with a basket of treats, including wine, craft beer, whiskey, eggs, milk, butter, scones and jam. I liked the eco-friendly touches, such as refillable washing-up liquid. We'd definitely stay again.

The welcome pack had such thoughtful extras, and the kitchen was stocked with all the equipment we needed. Everything was clean, the views were amazing, and the hot tub was fab. We really enjoyed our stay at Tanar View. Everything felt just right. Thank you!
