A straightforward room with no frills, and good value. Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly, and there was plenty of parking. The room was quiet too, even with the noisy pub nearby.

Everything I needed was in the room, which was lovely, clean and really well kept for the price. The woman behind the bar was so nice. I didn't get her name, but hope she had a good night after a long day. The window wouldn't quite shut all the way, though I could adjust the radiator, and the traffic outside was only a little noisy, so it wasn't a problem. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The shower was hot and clean, but the basic room was noisy because it faced a busy main road. The window needs attention: it was draughty and let in road noise.

I stayed for three and a half weeks while waiting for a new property and was looked after properly. There were good deals. If you just need a room with a bar downstairs in a great location, OYO castle is the place. John the landlord is a great guy.

The woman who works there, possibly the landlady, was rude and abusive, swearing at me for no reason at all. Her friend told me to ignore her. It was so unprofessional. I've made a complaint and would avoid the place.
