Sparth House Hotel

As soon as we walked into Sparth House, we knew we'd get married there. We'd looked at so many venues, even some in Spain, and while the place itself is beautiful, the people were what won us over. Olivia was amazing from our first meeting, and the whole team were wonderful. We saw the venue in August and chose to marry there in December of the same year. The staff made the whole process easy from beginning to end, thinking through every detail. They even left pizza in our room for when the night was over. Our guests loved the staff, the waiting service and the food. We absolutely adored our day and the whole experience of getting married at Sparth House.

Having everything in one place made the wedding so much easier. I could stay with my girls the night before, get ready there, marry downstairs and have the reception right beside it. Many guests stayed over too, which took a lot of stress out of the planning. I was an anxious bride with endless questions and worries about forgetting something. Whenever I spoke to the team, they put my mind at ease. They never made me feel difficult for all my emails and questions; instead, they seemed even more determined to make the day amazing. From the start, Emma made me feel special. She answered every question with patience and enthusiasm, and the team had clearly planned for every eventuality. They know their work inside out and shape the day to what you want, then somehow make it even better. Our guests travelled from all over and had lovely things to say about the venue. The grounds are stunning, the service impeccable and the food exquisite. Our vendors were excited when they heard it was Sparth House because they love working with the team. That says a lot about how well they treat people and run things. I'd heard horror stories about hidden wedding costs, but experienced nothing like that. From our first visit to now, almost six months after the wedding, when we even received a Christmas card, the team showed real passion for creating beautiful weddings. I never felt they were trying to get extra money out of us, and I'm still surprised at how good the value was. The listed package is enough; extras really are optional. Do get the canapés, though, especially those pork bon bons. I might go through wedding stress all over again just for them. The next morning, Olivia came over to say lovely things about our wedding videos and tell me how much she loved the way my husband looks at me. Even then, the team made me feel like the most special person there. From our first meeting to the day itself, I felt I was in safe, capable hands. I believe I could have done almost nothing myself, as long as I had something to wear and some guests to turn up, and the team would have everything else covered for a perfect day. I'm incredibly grateful to Sparth House and its team. Whatever kind of wedding you imagine, they'll take that vision and make it even better. I'm excited for all the other couples who get to experience the care and passion they put into their weddings.

The food was one of our biggest priorities, and the tasting put our minds at ease. Everything we tried was gorgeous and beautifully presented. Guests praised both the dishes and the servers, who handled serving the whole table at once so professionally. That small touch meant a lot to people. From our first viewing, we knew Sparth House was special. The venue was just right for our wedding, with plenty of room in the main hall and smaller areas where guests could spend time in comfort. Emma even printed two name cards to account for the different versions of my name in my email address, making sure she got it right from the start. Each time we visited, the staff knew who we were, and that made us feel valued. Emma was always there for questions, big or small. Sparth's planning tools made things straightforward, and by the final meeting, both sides felt sure the day would go to plan. There was another wedding the day before ours, so we dropped our things off the previous evening and trusted the team to set it all up overnight and in the morning. The decorations and the rest of the house looked exactly as we'd imagined, down to the tiniest details. The care continued from our arrival at the garden apartment the night before, through getting ready and all the way to the end of the reception. The apartment came with so much delicious food, so don't eat beforehand if you want to enjoy every bite. We expected a few hiccups, but everything turned out perfectly. This is a difficult review to write because we can't put into words how grateful we are to Emma and the whole team. Many guests have called it the best wedding they've attended, thanks in no small part to the team's organisation, professionalism and dedication. Our twilight wedding at Sparth House on 29th November 2024 was magical. The venue is full of charm and elegance, and gave our celebration a beautiful setting. The team's planning was so well organised that everything ran smoothly, and we could relax and enjoy the day. Emma, our host, was attentive, professional and went above and beyond. Her care and attention to detail showed throughout, and everyone made us feel valued and supported. We can't recommend Sparth House enough for its lovely setting and excellent service.
