Jonathan was friendly and easy to communicate with, while still giving us space. The B&B is in a lovely rural spot, with period furnishings and a countryside view from the dining room. Having excellent breakfast with that view made me feel like I’d wandered into an Austen or Bronte novel!

We had a great time in both the house and the shepherds hut, spending one night in each. The hosts were lovely, and there was plenty to see and do nearby. We’re already thinking of coming back for a longer visit so we can enjoy more time there.

A real gem for meeting up with friends and taking it easy. The rooms were spacious, spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The views are spectacular too. Thank you, Team Upper Buckton B&B.

We spent four comfortable nights in the Heron room, where the bathroom was spacious and the bed and linen were exceptionally comfortable. There was a daily supply of fresh milk, along with plenty of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Jonathan and Mary’s care with these little things makes this B&B stand out. From the bedroom, the views over the fields to the River Teme were mesmerising. We enjoyed walks beside the river and spotted egrets and herons. The surrounding area is lovely, with many well-signed walks. Nearby pubs vary, and all offer excellent value, especially The Royal George in nearby Lingen. We’d happily return for Jonathan and Mary’s warm hospitality, and highly recommend a stay.

Jonathan and Mary were lovely hosts during my two-night stay for a wedding nearby. They couldn’t do enough for their guests. The house is beautiful and clean, and the surroundings are gorgeous. I’d wholly recommend it. Thank you for having me.
