Broom Hall Inn

We booked two nights and found the room comfortable, with a modern ensuite bathroom. It’s a historic pub with wooden beams, a fairly small bar, and a separate restaurant. Both days were very busy, though it was over Christmas. The food was excellent, with a good choice of dishes.

The shower was a real disappointment. It stayed lukewarm in the evening and again in the morning, and the head kept slipping down its pole. Also, at breakfast we couldn’t serve ourselves tea, coffee, cereal, or yogurts. The building is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a nice evening meal and drinks, and otherwise had a pleasant stay.

I found the room comfortable and clean, with all the usual facilities, and breakfast was good. The service was attentive and flexible about what we needed. It’s a pleasant country inn for good quality traditional pub food.

After a long bike ride from Birmingham in horrendous conditions, the team made sure nothing was too much trouble. They gave us a hose to clean our filthy bikes and somewhere secure to leave them overnight. For food and drinks, they served us at our table all evening in the outside conservatory, which had a large TV screen and was a comfortable, relaxing way to end the day. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide-ranging menu we could pick and mix from before another day in the saddle. I came with four friends this weekend and would definitely return and recommend it. Nothing not to like.
