The town is really handy from here, which made this a good bolt-hole for us. It was our second visit this year, though the place is starting to feel a bit tired. The DVDs won't play on the TV and the windows don't lock. I wouldn't call it a four-star holiday home, but it's very convenient for Aldeburgh and could work well for a family break.

Nice place, but it needs a bit more upkeep. We stayed at number 11 Coastguards Court, and Stay in Suffolk hadn't sorted a couple of things: the bedroom window wouldn't open and the shower was faulty.

We had number 12, the four-bedroom duplex. It sits down by the harbour, but getting to the town's amenities is easy, about a ten-minute walk on flat ground.

I'm not going to say which property it was, but it really shouldn't be let as a holiday place.
