We were happy to find such a lovely, well-kept place, with a pleasant atmosphere and kind service. Even the bathroom was a nice surprise, stocked with free sanitary pads, tampons and perfume. Thoughtful touch. We played darts indoors and cards outside in the nicely decorated beer garden. There’s a pool table too, definitely an essential. I came during my holiday and would be very happy to come back.

So nice to see the place lively again! There’s live music every weekend and karaoke once or twice a month. Everyone’s lovely and friendly. My happy place 😊xxx

I dropped in for a couple of drinks while I was staying nearby for a few days. The drinks were reasonably priced, there was a good selection, and the man serving was very friendly. Nice to have a traditional sort of pub to visit instead of a chain.

The pub is easy to get to from Aldeburgh High Street and the beach, and the outside doesn’t give away how worthwhile the menu is. The landlord is a great chef, and the food was tasty with generous portions and the best prices in town. Good beer too, and the Guiness is the best around. We tried the cocktails expecting little, but they were proper drinks, not the weak, syrupy kind you often get. There are two lovely, gentle pub dogs, and the landlord is lively.

We only came across this pub on our last day. Popped in for one and ended up staying for a few more. The landlord gave us a lovely warm welcome, the locals were friendly, and the pork scratchings were tasty. Dog friendly as well, with treats for them.
