Robert and Olga were friendly and helpful hosts, doing everything themselves, and breakfast was freshly cooked with local produce. The room was spotless and had all we needed, though it was quite small. The shower was incredible, with plenty of hot water. I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels around the world and it would rate among the best. My wife and I spent two nights at the Toll House last weekend. It’s easy to find, with reserved parking, and a great location: just a 10-minute walk from the seafront, across the road from a pub, and beside the CoOp and Tesco. My only very slight picky comment is that the bath towels were a little small. Otherwise, fantastic. We’d definitely recommend it and stay again. Thank you, Robert and Olga. You do a great job, and I hope things keep going from strength to strength.

The full English breakfast in the bright, pleasant dining room was a perfect start to the day. My room and bathroom were both a good size and spotlessly clean. The shower had great pressure, and the head stayed where I put it, which matters to someone tall like me. I also got to be part of Tollhouse history as the first person to use their new online registration, which was easy. If I get another chance for a city break in Aldeburgh, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Everything was clean and smelled fresh, the hosts were pleasant, and breakfast was great. The room felt a bit cluttered and the beds were a little too hard, but I’d still definitely recommend it.

The hosts were so hospitable, and the room was lovely. Breakfasts were delicious and home cooked. I’d worried that road noise might be an issue, but it was very quiet after hours.

I’d stayed once before and forgotten how good it is. The rooms have good ensuite bathrooms, there’s WiFi and an excellent breakfast, plus on-site parking. It is a little way out of Aldeburgh, so after the pubs and restaurants close you have a 15-minute walk back up the hill. Still, that’s good for you.
