OYO Lomond Park Hotel

I booked this hotel for my Dad to rest after chemo at a nearby hospital. He said having chemo was a nicer experience than staying here. They also take a £60 deposit for breakages, even though everything in the room is already broken.

The food was great, hearty and filling, and the beer was good too. The whisky alongside it was just the thing. We were delighted to find this wee place, set a little back from the road and away from the crowds. It was great with the kids, and every plate was cleaned. Highly recommend.

We left after just one night, though we’d booked two for New Year’s Eve. Both rooms were absolutely freezing when we arrived. I reported that the radiators had no heat, but nothing was done. The quilts were too small for the beds, and there was only one towel for two people. Management didn’t seem interested at all. Having stayed here before, I can honestly say I’ll never stay again. Totally disappointed with the whole place.

The locals are so welcoming, and the staff are lovely. Kelly's got a great sense of humour too. Always a pleasure coming to Scotland, and this was a lovely last minute stay. Leanne &Galv will be back up soon.
