We only stayed for a day, but I would've happily spent longer here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the check-in staff were nice. At night we relaxed in the lounge and chatted with some locals and the bartender. Everyone was very kind. It's a super cute inn right on Balloch's main drag.

We stopped for lunch and a few drinks while travelling from Oban back to East field BC in Dumbarton as part of our annual bowls Tour weekend. The hospitality was excellent, and we really enjoyed the food with the good range of drinks. Our organiser made a first-class choice.

The rooms were lovely, the bar was great, and the staff were friendly. It's perfectly placed at the edge of the loch. We didn't eat here because food isn't served on Mondays or Tuesdays, and breakfast at 9:30 was too late for us.

We'd looked at a few lunch spots after walking along the waterfront and visiting the country park castle on a lovely morning in Balloch. The Waterside Inn seemed the friendliest and most welcoming, so we stopped there. I had the macaroni and my husband had the chicken burger, both delicious. We even got a cheeky wee discount on our drinks. I'd definitely eat here again, 10/10.

What a joke. This place isn't dog friendly, even though there were more dogs than people in Balloch. Then they had a private party, but when you look inside there's nobody there. Go to Dog House instead!
