Audrey made us feel very welcome and gave us useful tips on bars, restaurants and places to eat. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice and quality ingredients. There’s parking outside, and it’s a great spot for walking into town. We’d definitely stay again.

I wish we could have stayed for longer. Audrey was so welcoming and friendly, and she shared some fascinating stories about the house. The breakfasts were generous and lovely, and the room and shared spaces were beautifully decorated, with lots of interesting things to see and thoughtful touches like a sewing kit and use of a fridge. Greycroft was perfect for us.

We had a lovely couple of days at Greycroft while holidaying in Northumberland and Scotland. The room was comfortable, with some nice touches, and Audrey gave us a very friendly welcome. She also shared plenty of useful information about the area when we booked. Breakfast was delicious, with a good Continental selection and homemade jams. The cooked breakfast was made to order with quality ingredients. We'd certainly recommend Greycroft and Alnwick.

The owner is very friendly, and there are plenty of staff around to help with anything, from restaurant and pub suggestions to bookings and sightseeing. My room was quietly cleaned and refreshed each day while I was out. I stayed for three nights in May, in a single room that had a double bed, a large ensuite and enough space for my things. The room was excellent, and breakfast had lots of choices, plus freshly brewed coffee in a lovely glass-roofed reception room. I'd definitely stay again.
