We'd use this hotel again. The rooms were clean, cosy and nicely equipped, and the car park next door came in very handy. It's centrally placed on the edge of Alnwick town centre, so everywhere in town was an easy walk. The hotel is good value, and Alnwick itself makes a handy base for visiting places within about a 25-mile radius without too much driving.

We stayed four nights in room 1, which was a decent size. Even facing the main road through Alnwick, it stayed peaceful and traffic didn't disturb us. Housekeeping came every day, so we had everything we needed throughout. A really comfortable place and an excellent base for our time in Alnwick.

I've stayed here twice, once in a downstairs room and once upstairs. Both were a good size, though the downstairs one was bigger, and both were tastefully decorated, very clean and quiet. The location is right in the centre, just a short walk from the castle and gardens, and it's great value. I'd come more often if single-night stays were available more often, as there's usually a two-night minimum.

A pleasant, clean place apart from the drain issue. The shower was very hot, but the room was small and the shower drain was lifting, with a smell in the room most of the time. They really need to sort the drains out. Front room number 2 is also very noisy from the road.
