The owners were really kind about what we needed, especially with our four-month-old son. We felt welcome from the start, and the place itself is lovely, with such a calm, peaceful feel. On the evening we stayed in, the owners and some local residents sat around the table chatting, which made for a great atmosphere. I'd happily come back, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay here.

After a really long journey, I was made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The owners were helpful and so hospitable. My room was cosy, clean and comfortable, and I slept brilliantly in the warm bed. Breakfast was delicious and enormous, honestly enough to keep you going for hours. I'll definitely stay again when I'm next in the area.

The garden was tidy and had loads of room for our dog to wander, and it was lovely seeing the animals beside it. We had a great two-night stay in May with our dog. It was quiet and peaceful, and the place was dog-friendly. Glo and Steve looked after us so well, our room was comfortable and had all the amenities, and the food was great, especially the huge breakfasts each morning. We've already booked three nights for August 21.

We felt very welcome, and the snug had a lovely real fire. This traditional 200-year-old pub sits tucked away in a quiet corner and doesn't tend to get busy. It's well kept, with Exmoor Ale and real cider, good-value pub grub, a tucked-away beer garden at the back, and accommodation. The landlord's a Beatles fan, and it's well worth visiting. There's also a collection of antiques for sale to have a look through.

There’s an antique room where you can browse, rummage and buy something if you fancy. The Crown is an atmospheric country pub, with log fires and lovely hosts. We had a delicious Sunday lunch, a huge portion, cooked just right. Highly recommend.
