My wife and I have stayed in seven similar places in Amble, and this one is easily the best. It’s modern and airy, close to the harbour, with everything you need. I especially liked the wood-burning stove, the TV that swivels to face wherever you’re sitting, the induction hob and the lovely wooden doors. A delightful place to stay.

The house suited us perfectly. We were celebrating an early family Christmas and brought a tree to sit beside the lovely wood burner. The small back yard worked well for our wee dog between walks, and the location is handy for all the amenities. Comfy beds too.

The Boathouse restaurant is only a three-minute walk away, and we’d really recommend the seafood platter. The cottage is close to the harbour, beach and local shops, so the location is spot on. Inside, it’s cosy, spotless and beautifully decorated to a high standard, with thoughtful touches from the owners. They were very helpful with arrangements beforehand. WiFi was good and parking out front was easy. We had a fantastic weekend in this quaint seaside spot.

The kitchen felt a bit cramped, and the outdoor area quite confined. I also wasn’t sure about the toilet and shower opening off the dining room. Please ignore this review, though. Google gave me the wrong address and I didn’t check before posting. My sincere apologies.
