The views are breathtaking, especially if you get out early to catch the morning sun. I made some fantastic memories with my kids here, thanks to Sheila and her husband. Sheila welcomed us so warmly, and she was kind, lovely to talk to, and a pleasure to meet. The whole place is stunning, and I honestly can’t fault any of it. I’d fully recommend staying here, and hope to come back and see her again. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

This was our second stay in Stable Cottage at High Wray Farm, in September/October 2025. The cottage is very comfortable, with a great, uninterrupted view of the Fairfield Horseshoe. The hosts are friendly and very helpful, and made us feel extremely welcome.

This review is a bit late, as we stayed a while ago. We were looked after so well from arrival right through to departure, and the warmth and hospitality were wonderful. The room, house, and garden were a delight. Tea and cake in the afternoon sunshine is a lovely memory. Thank you. Roger & Jern x

Sheila's beautiful cottage deserves nothing but 5 stars and 10/10s. We arrived at High Wray by bike, soaked through, and Sheila went above and beyond to help. Before long we were warming up by the fireplace, eating home-made cake and drinking tea with Sheila's cat, while she took care of our drenched clothes and gear. It’s hard to believe how old the cottage is, given how well kept and sparkling clean it is. The location is stunning, and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Hope we can visit High Wray Farm again one day!
