The staff were absolutely lovely, and the cooked breakfast was very good. Other breakfast options were scarce, though, just a range of Kellogg's cereals, so I wouldn't choose to eat there if I were staying longer. European visitors might find the selection especially limited. My room was small but perfectly fine, with an acceptable bathroom and shower. Looking out at the air conditioning units was disappointing. The hotel feels old-fashioned and basic, but it was comfortable. There’s no disabled access because reception is up a steep flight of stairs. There was loud noise from a function suite on my floor, though it had died down by around 10:30. The car park was full when I visited and doesn't reserve spaces for guests, but street parking was fine.

Really good food and coffee, and the prices feel fair for the quality. The staff are lovely and the service is great. A little gem. I'll definitely be back.

That coffee was the best I've been served in ages, and it came in a pot that kept it hot until I was ready to pour. Prices are competitive, too. The menu has a decent mix of hot and cold food and drinks, plus light bites and meals for children. I stopped at Corner House hotel for a meal and a hot drink, not to stay overnight, so I can't say anything about the rooms. The place looks old, inside and out, but I found it charming and homely, with a relaxed, cosy feel. It was clean and airy, and the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. I'd happily visit Corner House again next time I'm in the area.

Breakfast was the standout: generous servings, piping hot, and delicious. The Lorne sausage was the best I've ever had. The hotel doesn't serve dinner, so we had to eat elsewhere. I was there for a one night business stay. The room was spacious but very basic, and the bathroom facilities weren't great, though everything was clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi was very poor, which made it frustrating to get work done. Its location near the M74 was handy while I was travelling around North West England and Scotland.

We had our wedding reception here recently, and the staff and service couldn't have made us happier. They went above and beyond in every way. The room was lovely and really affordable. Highly recommend.
