The room was huge, clean and had a lovely fireplace. I can't say enough about how homely this big old house felt. My husband, little girl and I adored Glendona house, and Gail was so welcoming and lovely. Thank you so much. It's an old house, so there are a few cobwebs, peeling wallpaper in places and water marks on the ceiling. But if you like a warm welcome, beautiful old features, lovely furniture and the most beautiful window on the first landing, this is the place.

The owner is lovely and the breakfast is huge. I'll be back for another visit, and the place is well worth seeing if you enjoy those old-time memories. It's an old house full of character, with gorgeous details like the custom embossed wall panels along the halls. Just don't expect modern features.

Gail was so welcoming, and I really enjoyed my stay. It's a lovely big house, nice inside. Breakfast was a big meal, with continental food, a fry-up, pancakes, soda bread, toast, orange juice, tea and coffee. It kept me going all day until dinner.

The owner went out of their way to make things work for us, even arranging for my grandma to stay in the bungalow beside the house. That was a real help. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the whole place has gone beyond what we expected. Such a welcoming host. Highly recommend, with love from Vancouver, Canada ❤️

This is an older, grand house on a working farm, and the plumbing has some character. I liked the welcoming host, the comfortable beds and the great breakfast. If you want everything to feel new, you may not enjoy it, though the self-catering cottages might suit you better. Otherwise, take the house as it is and enjoy your stay.
