My family group of six and I stayed the night at the New Inn. The new owners made us feel at home from the moment we came through the door, and have done an amazing job with the place. The rooms were clean, cosy and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. Great pub and location. Can't wait to return for a few drinks in the cosy pub. Thanks for having us!

My bedroom was tranquil, the bed really comfortable, and everything was clean. The ensuite looked newly installed. I love staying in bed and breakfast pubs, and the New Inn is one of my best stays. It's an authentic country pub with a fantastic range of beers and other drinks, and superb food made to order by a talented chef using local produce where possible. Breakfast was a highlight. I chose the veggie option, with melt-in-the-mouth grilled haloumi and other delicious bits. I couldn't stay for Sunday roast, though another customer told me it was excellent. The pub is in tiny, picturesque Appletreewick, surrounded by the stunning Yorkshire Dales. I'm planning a winter return to slump on the leather chesterfield sofas in the snug by the open fire, with a local ale after a hearty Sunday roast.

The tasting supper was a real highlight, especially the pigeon with seasonal berries and the lobster mulligatawny. The food was divine, and each drink was matched perfectly. Everything was locally sourced and top quality. It's a warm, welcoming Dales pub, just right for everyday meals or a special occasion.

Six of us booked for 1.30, and four ordered the roast. What a feast: a large oval platter piled with huge Yorkshire puddings, roast beef and pork, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, roast squash and Nero Cabbage. It was truly delicious, and even the plates arrived warm, which was such a bonus. Definitely add this place to your Sunday roast list. We'll be back, thank you.

The four of us nearly finished the enormous Sunday lunch sharing platter, served with superb cauliflower cheese and proper gravy on the side. The puddings were superb and very creative, and everything was absolutely delicious. The new owners have done a fantastic job. We'll be back very soon and telling everyone how good the place is now.
