There’s plenty to enjoy within a couple of minutes on foot, including the National Trust for Scotland gardens, and the views from the breakfast room are lovely. We even spotted rabbits, voles and a pine marten just outside on the patio. Darren and Karen know the region well and have a huge collection of guidebooks, so their advice helped us make more of our visit. We’d had to change our travel plans at the last minute and were lucky to find a room for the night. The welcome was warm, the room was very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade accompaniments. Darren and Karen really went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.

The shared living room was a welcoming spot, with lots of books and maps to browse. Breakfast was just right: fresh fruit and a delicious cooked meal, with especially good black pudding, some of the best I’ve had. We booked the night before, looking for somewhere pleasant on the drive back down from Scotland. The hosts were warm and lovely to meet. Our room was spacious and spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower had strong hot water. With such a quiet setting, we slept really well. A great place to stay near Oban.

Darren knows the area so well that he could tell us about the view from our window and the surrounding landscape. The B&B is in a lovely spot, and breakfast came with the same beautiful views across to the islands. It’s a beautiful place run by a lovely couple, Darren and Karen. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The view from the window was magnificent, and the bed was comfortable with an amazing shower. A charming place to stay, with welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.
