Lochside Guest House

We were a family of five and took the flat after the reception representative advised us, having booked directly with the hotel. It was huge and beautifully laid out, with a modern design, two bathrooms, a family room, and a well-equipped kitchen. Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful, and breakfast in the dining room came with a lovely view. The setting right by the bank of loch Long is incredible. From Arrochar, we could drive to so many beautiful hiking spots. Waking up to that peaceful view made the holiday feel perfect.

The room felt nearly new, with a comfy bed, and the whole hotel smelled nice. It was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly, so check-in and checkout were easy. There’s a free car park behind the hotel, and the restaurant next door had delicious food and views. Lovely spot right beside the Loch. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was good, and the room was warm, dry and cozy, with really tasteful decor. The welcome at reception was just as warm and friendly. Just a heads-up, reception isn't staffed all the time. When nobody's there, you need to go next door and get in touch.

We only stayed one night, in room number 8, and that view was unforgettable, across the lake and mountains. The room was small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was an extra charge; it was good, though not amazing. I'd definitely come back, and would recommend the place for the view alone.
