Stables Ashbourne

The private hot tub was a highlight, staying hot whenever I wanted a soak. The room had a lovely shower, complimentary drinks and coffee, a large built-in TV, heated bathroom floor and a firm mattress. I also liked the big balcony doors that let in lots of natural light. The interior was beautifully designed, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. A fantastic five-star experience, and I’d highly recommend it for a luxurious getaway!

The room was nice, the mattress firm, and the tub in the room was huge. The sauna and hot tub were a bit small, but since it was a quiet season, we had them to ourselves for the whole stay. The location was decent and pretty close to Peak Wildlife Park. My one complaint is the raised step in the bathroom. It’s easy to trip on because it’s the same colour as the floor.

The pub next door had delicious food and so much choice. The rooms felt really high end, with an amazingly comfortable bed and a fabulous hot tub. Little touches made it especially relaxing, like the low light that switches on when you go to the bathroom at night, the Nespresso machine and the easy-to-use, effective air conditioning. My husband reckoned a room like this would cost four times as much in London. The staff were lovely and friendly, without any pretence. We had a fabulous weekend and couldn’t fault our stay. Thanks to everyone.

For our wedding anniversary, we couldn’t have picked a better place. The room was beautiful, and soaking in the Japanese tub beneath the stars was so relaxing. The food was amazing, and the staff were polite and couldn’t have been more helpful. An amazing stay.
