Fairwater Head Hotel

I needed a few days off because of my bad back, and wanted somewhere peaceful. The hotel is stunning inside and out, and the staff were amazingly kind and helpful. My room had a jacuzzi bath, which was much better for me than a crowded pool or an outdoor hot tub. I could relax in comfort right in my room, and my back feels so much better. Thanks very much.

We had a warm welcome and a clean, comfortable, well-equipped room with an excellent mattress. Breakfast was original and delicious, and the rural setting is beautiful. It's about a 10-minute drive to Axminster, where there are restaurants and other things to do. Great walking country for a weekend away. Just be aware that meals other than breakfast may not be available.

The room is modern but still fits the country-house feel, with a big, super-comfy bed, clean bedding, plenty of fluffy, decent-sized towels, and a good supply of hot drink items and glasses. The staff or owners make the bed each day and replenish things, which we haven't experienced elsewhere. The detail here is brilliant. The hotel is very quiet and always smells fresh and clean. Inside, the traditional Manor House look has lovely oil paintings, a grand piano, a large fireplace and herringbone flooring, with a modern touch further in and a nice viewpoint with tables and chairs outside. We were welcomed so warmly. The building looks grand from the outside too. We're so happy here while we're staying, and I almost don't want to recommend it because we'll definitely be back and don't want it fully booked. But everyone deserves to experience it. If you need somewhere in the area, this would be a great choice. Thanks, guys!

Lauren and her Dad are lovely hosts who make you feel right at home. The beds are so comfortable, and the blackout blinds and peaceful surroundings are just what you need for a perfect stay. After a disastrous B&B experience elsewhere, we stumbled on this gem and they saved the day. We come here for quick seaside getaways now, and it's a great base for Lyme regis. We've used the park and ride to get to town and the beach easily. Thoroughly recommend. Keep up the great work, see you soon.
