Maze Rented Accommodation

My friend and I tried self-catering in Ayr for the first time instead of our usual B&B, and we were really pleased with the Maze Apartments. We stayed two nights in apartment 1. It was spacious and spotless, with one double bed and one single, both very comfortable. The shower was amazing, with a large fixed head and a smaller one you could lift down. The owners clearly didn’t cut corners when renovating: the beds were solid oak and the mattresses were good quality. We shared the kitchen with two other rooms, but had our own fridge for milk, water and so on. It was well equipped with a cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. Although the rooms are above a pub, we didn’t hear any noise. There’s a shop just a minute away where we got milk and newspapers, and it had everything you’d need for a full breakfast, including fresh bread, butter and cheese. We only ate cereal in the mornings, though. We wanted a base for trips to Prestwick and shopping, lunch and dinner in central Ayr. The bus stop was just steps away, with another stop across the road for going into town. I spoke to the owner that morning and she was lovely, very helpful. The apartments were reasonably priced, and my friend and I will definitely return for another little Ayr holiday.
