We paid for a late checkout, and reception said we could stay until 3pm since the room had no booking after ours. But at 2pm, a cleaner came to the door and told us to leave. She was a short, older woman with short white hair. When I explained what reception had said, she asked who I had spoken to. After I described him, she gave me a cheeky look, clearly acting as though I was stupid and making it up. Her attitude felt belittling, rude and unprofessional.

The service was shit. We were only five minutes late when a short woman with white hair came to the door without knocking, even though the do not disturb sign was up. She told us to leave and didn't give us even five minutes to check properly. She was really rude and doesn't know how hospitality works.

The staff were nice, and the room was clean and tidy, with an en suite bath and shower. Soap, tea and coffee were provided. There isn't a bar or food at the hotel, but there's one next door. It's between two really busy main roads, so it was noisy at night.

I left my adapter plug and laptop charger behind after an overnight work stay, and only realised when I was back home, 400 miles away. I called the hotel, and they kindly posted everything to me. Thank you so much!

Parking was plentiful, and there was no need to register your number plate. The staff were welcoming too, and the rooms were clean and well looked after. Great hotel.
