Travelodge Cambridge Fourwentways

We've always used Travelodge without any problems, but this felt mean. My husband tried to book Newmarket Rd and was switched to this location without warning. He's travelling by train, so the extra 6 miles matter. He paid for the option to change the booking, but calls cost 13p a minute and nobody answers the phone.

We needed somewhere to stop overnight, and the location worked well for us. There was plenty of free parking, and the staff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Although it's close to a busy motorway, our room was very peaceful.

The unexpected bonus was a really nice view. I also found the place quiet despite the main roads nearby, though you can hear neighbours through the fairly thin walls and ceilings, as you'd expect. For a cheap and cheerful stay, it was actually very good, with friendly, helpful staff, decent-sized rooms that felt fairly clean, and good parking. It's easy to get to, and there are nice walking and running routes from here.

I had a lovely long stay here, and the staff made me feel so welcome during a difficult time. Thank you, Kirsty, Jacob, Duncan, Michael, Ben, Fran, and Rosalin. They were amazing, and I can't thank them enough.
