The view from the living room was amazing, but that was about the only highlight of our first stay in this cottage. The kitchen had most of the utensils, pots, pans and plates we needed, but everything was so dirty we had to clean it all before using it. The bedroom sheets had stray hairs and looked dirty, and there were cobwebs and dust on the window panels. The sofa was old and worn. We’ve stayed in Airbnbs before, so this was a letdown. Even with a self-catering setup, we expected enough basics for three days and two nights. Instead, there was only one and a half rolls of toilet paper and one bin bag, despite us cooking both nights. When we asked for more, we were told that it was self-catering and they’d left enough for us to manage.

Stuart and Fiona were a wonderful couple and there to help with anything we needed. From the living room, the mountain views were stunning, and the loch is just behind the garden. The cottage itself was beautiful, spacious, very clean and well equipped, with excellent appliances, a comfortable bed and enough wardrobe space. I especially loved the hardwired fan heater that warmed up the bathroom for getting out of the shower. We’ll definitely be back.

Scott and Kim gave us a warm welcome. It’s a cozy little cottage, well equipped, with stunning views and close to amenities and routes to nearby attractions. We’ll 100% book again.

We’ve been back a week and already rebooked for next year. That probably says it all. The cottage was spotlessly clean, excellent and comfortable, and close to all the amenities.
