The hosts are charming, and breakfast is excellent. I keep coming back to this guesthouse because it’s right in the centre of Ballater, so it’s easy to enjoy the village. Ballater itself is a lovely Scottish spot, with gorgeous scenery, nice walks and cute coffee shops. The rooms are roomy, with comfortable beds and useful amenities. I’d happily recommend a visit. ☺️

We had a great stay and would come back. The hosts were friendly, the service was lovely, and breakfast was tasty. Our room was clean and cosy, too. They were also flexible when traffic delays meant we’d arrive later than usual. The old building doesn’t block much sound, though: we could hear toilets flushing in other rooms, the wind, and footsteps upstairs. The price felt a little steep for one night.

We had a fab two nights in June 24. The guest house was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the hosts were brilliant. The Scottish breakfast was lovely, too.

A quiet, peaceful place to stay. The room was a good size and well equipped, with a private shower room. It felt comfortable and welcoming, and breakfast was lovely. The hosts were very attentive.
