The setting was perfect for exploring the coast, and we wished we'd booked more than two days. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed, including a washer, dryer and dishwasher. Mornings came with cows on the hill, and we even got a visit from the neighbour's dog, Millie. Such a lovely place.

We had one of the most magical moments of our trip at Kinbane Castle, just down the road from the cottage. We explored it at dusk with nobody else around. Back at the smaller “Stable” cottage, we could do laundry, have a bath and unwind by the wood stove after a long day of driving and hiking. We left refreshed and ready for more adventures.

I've stayed at the self-catering Stables twice now, and this is my favourite spot in all of Ireland. Nan is wonderful whichever place you choose. From here you can see Rathlin island and Scotland, with views of both sunrise and sunset. What an amazing location!

The weather was kind to us during our few days at the Stable at Kinbane. It's a lovely bungalow with all the modern comforts, and the sea view and scenery are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn't ask for more.
