Squirrel Cottage

Everything was clean and tidy, and we loved our stay at Squirrel Cottage. The bed was enormous, and that copper bath was amazing. We had a takeaway delivered from a nearby place, then watched a movie on the Netflix the hosts provide while we ate. Can't wait to come back.

The cottage had lovely features, was well equipped and so clean. We had an amazing stay at Squirrel Cottage, perfect from beginning to end. While sitting in the hot tub, we even saw three shooting stars. Thanks, we can't wait to return.

The cottage looked beautiful and had plenty of space for a couple, but our one-night stay on 17 November was a very poor experience and not worth the money. It was cold for that time of year, never getting above 17 degrees even with the thermostat set to 22. The bath and oven weren't clean to the standard we expected. There was still foam and residue in the bath, which had nothing to do with it being copper, despite the host's reply. The listing said the private hot tub was available without limits, but in the morning it was locked on Eco mode by the host and only at 34.5 degrees. We hadn't left it uncovered, despite what the host said in her reply. When we raised this, the host brought up her personal life, told us the best thing was to go home and said to take it up with the booking platform.

We've been a few times now, and it's always spotlessly clean. It's my favourite place for a few nights away: peaceful and quiet, with everything you need, from a full kitchen to a massive bathroom.
