The house is modern, roomy and well appointed, right by the sea. You can walk into Banff centre, and Elgin, Aberdeen, Cullen and the coast are all reachable by car. There’s a nice harbour nearby, plus short coastal walks.

Banff Beach was the highlight of our long family weekend in Scotland. We spent several long days there. It’s great for dog walking and flying kites, and you can swim if cold water doesn’t bother you. The sea air was amazing. I’d recommend the area if you’re ever nearby!

The coastline is stunning, and I’d come back. We stayed in a place right on the front that was exceptional, clean and tidy, with a sea view that added to the trip. The high street wasn’t the best I’ve seen, with few shops and some closed, but shopping wasn’t why I was on holiday.

We had a couple of heating problems, but they were sorted quickly. The owners were friendly, and it’s a great place to stay right on the waterfront. I’d come again, though maybe not make the 564-mile drive from the south.
