The bar wait was ridiculous, even though it felt like the staff were serving an empty room, and the drink prices were steep on top of the expensive tickets. The bouncers made the event miserable. They seemed determined to shut down any fun, acted immature and unprofessional, and carried on like they were the toughest men around. This was my second time here. I’d hoped to put the poor service and their behaviour from my first visit behind me, but this only made me dislike the hotel more. Don’t book it for a formal if you want people to enjoy themselves. I’d look elsewhere.

Our guests were looked after so well, and the bar, event and hotel staff all added to the day. The team also handled every detail smoothly, including our room and box requests. From booking the venue onward, Gia and the staff answered our questions and helped with all parts of the setup. We felt supported throughout. Everything about the wedding went perfectly, and we can’t thank The Clandeboye Lodge enough for helping us have a day we’ll always cherish. It was our perfect venue.

The meal was a highlight: after cocktail hour we had a lovely three-course dinner. The venue looked beautiful, with plenty of parking for the wedding guests and even more people. Staff were excellent and attentive to every detail. The surroundings were glorious, and the photos turned out beautifully.

I’ve stayed here twice in six months, and I’ll definitely come back. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, the food is excellent, and the people looking after us are always cheerful and very helpful. It’s a lovely hotel.

We booked Christmas lunch on a recommendation while visiting our son, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We weren’t disappointed at all, and it ended up exceeding our expectations. The restaurant was dressed up beautifully for a special meal, and the Christmas tree in the foyer made a lovely photo spot. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The staff were friendly and professional, and looked after everyone so well. Compliments to the chefs too, every part of the lunch was cooked, prepared and presented perfectly. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was amazing. Thank you all for a fabulous Christmas lunch.
