It's a handy, comfortable place close to the town centre, and works well for business or leisure. The rooms were clean and quiet, with those reliably comfy Premier Inn beds, so I slept well. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was good value, and shops, restaurants and transport links are nearby. Some parts look a little dated, but they're well maintained. A dependable option for a short stay in Barnsley.

James was so welcoming and friendly, and helped make our stay relaxing. He and the rest of the staff were happy to help with anything. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The restaurant had a good selection at reasonable prices. We have no complaints.

We were greeted with smiles when we arrived at the Barnsley premier inn in the town centre. The staff tried their hardest to look after us, and were great company, sharing a laugh and a chat as they went above and beyond to help. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and we all slept well. Dinner and breakfast were hot and delicious. The room rate of £45, with dinner and breakfast for £26.99, was well worth it. It was our third visit and we'll definitely come back again. We felt at home. See you soon, and I take my hat off to the staff.

James made our stay. He was friendly, helpful, knew his stuff, and was happy to help with anything. A real credit to the hotel and company. The hotel itself is basic but does the job, with convenient, inexpensive parking and a good location. I’d stay again.

I’ve stayed at Premier Inns before and they’ve been reliable, but I’m now wondering whether to cancel this May booking at Barnsley Central and go elsewhere. I just need to ask whether there’s parking for blue badge holders and if I can reserve a space, since I know there’s no on-site car park. I’ve tried the FAQs, the contact page and calling, and still can’t get an answer. It shouldn’t be this hard to ask a simple question before a stay.
